New Year's Resolutions Are Dead
Jan 15, 2018
New Year’s Resolutions are Dead.
Or are they?
If you made one, are you still keeping to it?
For me, resolutions are dead. Then again I have never made a New Year’s Resolution. I’m not sure the concept ever really resonated with me. I tend to think about life in advance and the first part of my year is planned by the time the Big Ball is dropping in New York City.
With that being said, I get the appeal of New Year’s Resolutions. It’s an opportunity to think about yourself in a new way, who do you want to be in the next year, leave the past behind and become the best version of yourself. That is VERY appealing. I think about it all the time, throughout the year, and find each week and month I take the opportunity to redefine who I am.
Sometimes I redefine who I am by keeping up with the laundry pile. Or plan a great birthday party for my kiddo without stressing out. Maybe I’m the bestest gift giver because I find the perfect keepsake for my husband who has everything he wants.
Whether or not you are a New Year’s Resolution person, I encourage you to capture the spirit of the exercise and dream about who you are becoming.
Next week I will be back here sharing how to pick priorities and then ways to stay focused. These tactical approaches have made it possible for me to consistently became the woman I dream of being in 5 years. If you’d like a head start, I encourage you to sign up for my FREE 3 part video series. I share my key strategies to *always* staying sane and focused, no matter what is happening in my life. You can sign up here.
Cheers to you becoming the person you are most proud of.
One of my joys is being able to show women how to streamline their days so they can leave a legacy. Another passion is adventuring with my 3 littles in princess quests and epic dragon battles while pursuing an 80+ year marriage with my supportive husband. The online space has become a great journey and I’m delighted to be here with you all .
